Video Pauses During Playback
If the bit-rate of the video is higher than your connection speed, it will stop and start again.  Unless the website is using a video streaming server, you can right-click on its link and select "Save Target" to download the video to your hard drive, and then you can play it back without any pauses.

The higher the bit-rate of the video, the better its quality.  So there is a trade-off between quality and bandwidth requirement.  Most TLW videos use 384 bits/sec which will not pause if you have a cable or DSL connection.

If a video server is used, then you can do something else while it struggles to play, and come back later.  If you have Windows Media Player, and you are familiar with using Windows Explorer to navigate your hard drive's folders, you can usually find the temporary copy of the video after it has played in your Internet Temporary Files folder.  You can then move it to a permanent folder.

To find the temporary file, go to Internet Explorer menu Tools->Internet Options" and click on Settings:

and then view files:

Click on the Size or Last Accessed heading twice to sort descending.  This usually brings the video files to the top of the list:

Then, just drag-and-drop to a permanent folder.

No Video/Audio or "Cannot find codec" Error
A CODEC is used to compress audio/video files.  Your computer must have the same CODEC to uncompress it when you play it.  Current CODECs are included with your player when you install it.  However, if the video was created with an older or newer CODEC, it may not have been installed on your computer.

For example, if you install Windows Media Player 9 on Windows XP, you will not get WMV1 (Windows Media video codec for the 7.1 version of the player.  You can download old or new Windows Media Players and get the codec from Microsoft here.  You will have to change the search to look for encoders to download them, which is what I recommend because you don't want to install a back level player.

Also, if you are using a dual monitor setup, video does not always play on both monitors.
